humaworm
Hello - 200mg of pyslluim is a comparatively very small amount in a daily serving. There are 1,000 mgs in a gram. The daily dose of psyllium in a colon cleanse is 10 grams. 200 mg is about 1 scant teaspoon per day. 10grams is about 16 Tablespoons per day. Now that we've compared the weight to volume measurement, let me tell you why we include psyllium in HUMAWORM. Psyllium is not water soluable - the other herbs hit the bloodstream where their combined chemical componants go to work killing parasites and purifying the body. The Psyllium travels down into the small and large intestine and colon where it works in conjunction with the senna and cascara sagrada to keep the bowels open and working during the parasite cleanse. It swells to 50 times it's size to help bind stools. This small amount will help produce about 16 Tablespoons of stool per day.
100mg (weight measurement) of wormwood in raw powder form is also about 1 teaspoon in volume measurement. No doubt that tinctures are strong - they are made to be concentrated. In the case of wormwood for example - it is the second most bitter herb known to man. Many people in our modern day "pill culture" would not be able to overcome the taste enough to take a tincture of wormwood. Wormwood is also a very dangerous herb if not taken correctly. In my experience 100 mg per day for 30 days is the correct dosage of wormwood for parasite cleansing. (powder or drops). This is just my personal opinion and what I've seen to be true in my experience.
The following is a copy of a post I made at another forum about wormwood:
"Below is a copy of what I posted for another lady about wormwood and children - let me also add this for you - wormwood can be very dangerous if not used correctly - it can cause hallucinations, nervousness and mental deterioration (central nervous system problems) if too much is taken for too long. However, it is extremely helpful in removing parasites, for use as a sedative and for reducing fever - it is safe for adult use as long as it's taken as directed.
In my years of experience - wormwood is very dangerous for small children. It has a chemical component that acts as a narcotic analgesic. The absinthum in wormwood causes brain stimulation that can lead to delusion - overuse of wormwood (too much, for too long, etc.) can lead to severe mental reactions. This is why it was removed as the main ingredient in Absinthe Liquor. Herbs are drugs too, people just tend to forget that herbs can be dangerous if used incorrectly - the FDA has no regulations on herbal supplements and we are not required to list any side effects, interactions, or warnings.
It CANNOT be used by pregnant women because it can cause miscarriage (spontaneous abortion). There are plenty of other good herbs that are great for parasite removal in children - just not wormwood.
I hope this helps!"
