This WD certainly sounds interesting and one which I could probably incorporate fairly easily into my day. I actually prefer not eating for several hours in the morning and if I start working early, then it is about 11 am before I want anything. Being weak, and wanting to escape the office, we go out for a coffee, etc., and a chat, then back to work. Lunch and dinner are at very irregular times.
These days, we seem to be living a chaotic life and this just might be the ticket to getting back to a healthier existence and without a lot of angst!.
I LOVE Aajonus' Primal Diet but will have to put some of that off for a bit -- I do love the butter and cream and raw eggs, though, and will fit them into this experiment.
And, Dr. Hay advised a similar way of eating -- he ate nothing until his dinner meal and I believe that he ate with some discretion; however, the basic idea is the same -- no heavy food until the evening. Dr. Hay did put his patients on an orange-juice fast to help detox them, etc., prior to their adapting this regime.
The Barefoot Herbalist also eats in a similar way in that he has a meal in the evening, having consumed various drinks with his herbs through the day. However, his main recommendation is to be sure to get rid of that evening meal because he feels that we must keep that colon moving and have it as clean as possible -- and get the dangerous junk out asap.
So, I am doing a bit of reading tonight and then see what can be done tomorrow.
The carbs after the meat might be a problem for me with no gall bladder -- I usually only take veggies with meat or else I pay a price. However, I do take enzymes for that reason and they do help a lot. I daresay that the raw salad is to be taken prior to the protein simply because it scoots through the body faster than the protein?
Rygar, I am going to try your pineapple/banana smoothie -- earlier in the day, though, methinks!! :)
