I got my stupid mirena a little over 2 years ago. I should have known from the beging that this wouldnt work for me. It took 2 tries to get it in place because of my tilted cervix. The cramping was horrible.
About 2 months after getting the demon in place I noticed when I went to the bathroom I had HUGE (I would call it huge) pieces if skin on the toilet paper. I called my Dr and she said that was normal. That the mirena was attaching itself. Me, never having an IUD before trusted her.
Well off and on since then I have weird cramping, stomach twitches (like a baby kicking), eye twitches, and sometimes I wont have a period. When I do get a period it is really heavy and painful. I have chronic yeast infections and BV that acts up all the time.
The last 3 days I have been having really bad cramps. Almost like a needle jabbing my uterus. (OUCH) I talked to one of the girls that I work with and she said maybe I should check the strings. Low and behold they are gone. I know that they were there last month! I am calling my Dr tomorrow morning and getting this thing removed!
My question is, for all you ladies you have had to have surgery to get it out, how bad was it? I am so afraid that I am going to have to go through surgery to get it out!
Had I known about this website I would have NEVER gotten this THING put in!
Any advice/help would be helpful.
Thank you for reading my story and stay strong! Together we can fight this!
