You know that in the papers recently vitamin pills have been given a real slating, saying that they are ineffective and don't work/get absorbed. Could this be because the majority of people have dirty clogged up systems that prevent the vitamins from being absorbed efficiently? If you water fasted and then lived a healthy lifestyle of eating mainly raw food, would your newly cleansed system be able to absorb vitamin pills better? And I know that if you eat very healthily you wouldn't need to use vitamin pills, but in some cases you do, like pantothenic acid, especially if you don't eat grains.

This is a reply to # 1,164,873I've had experiences with vitamins of various types helping me. I guess my experience is that if you take vitamins your body really needs in the best form available it does a lot of good. There are a lot of crap vitamins (especially fat-soluable ones) out there. I only buy from good, reputable manufacturers. A lot of the mass-produced stuff in the grocery stores are junk.

the mass publicity within mainstream media concerning the ineffectiveness and "dangers" of vitamins & minerals, originates from the Pharmaceutical Companies, who wish to denigrate their competition, which nutritionals just happen to be.
The media are pharma' dominated, so you cannot expect to receive any reliable or truthful information via them.
Fasting will vastly improve the digestion and assimilation of food, and supplements are no exception. Many people believe however, that supplementation is not necessary with an organic and wholefood diet, but my own health and energy levels have been much improved by quality "wholefood supplements".
The only supplements I would try & avoid are the synthetic vitamins, where most are of little to no value whatsoever.

If vitamins don't work, why do medical doctors prescribe them when someone is vitamin deficient? Hmmm.
It's true, cheap vitamins are often not absorbed. If people checked their feces, more often than not they'd find a big old Centrum tablet in them.
Also, people's absorption is pretty crappy, part of the problem we're having with our water is that people aren't absorbing their medication and entire pills are finding their way into our water supply!!! These traces amount of rx drugs are extremely hazardous to our health, which is why distilled water is so great!!!
Also, it sounds to me like the pharmaceutical companies are trying to do damage to the nutrition industry. I know here in Canada that they are trying to get an nutritions regulated, which means unless you don't spend considerable amount of money to get your product tested, you can't sell it. Good bye mom and pop businesses.

This is a reply to # 1,164,873i dont believe vitamin pills grow in nature. for perfect health eat fresh organic fruits and vegies. get away from these companies telling you that you need that garbage. YOU DONT.
