My guess is that Ginseng would raise cortisol to some extent. Remember that it's an adaptagen and works to bring the body in balance, so if you already have too much cortisol it shouldn't add to the problem.
One of Ginseng's strongest benefits is anti-stress. When I've had stressful jobs or situations, I've often relied on Ginseng to put me back in control. It's probably one of the best supplements you can take for AF. It's also an excellent blood tonic.
Ginseng isn't the cornerstone of Chinese medicine for no reason - it's great stuff. I'm surprised it doesn't get more attention at CZ.
