The first question you may want to ask is how was the person who made this comment connected to the Drug Establishment?

Or may we say, in another way, just follow the Money Trail!

Now the Establishment is making Tons of Money from the mis-info which is keeping people Sick and Diseased!

So, is it any wonder why they may not want you to know the "TRUTH" about this?

Now to cover some of your questions!

The pH test, which includes the urine pH test is "ONLY" a test tool to help you learn how to better help your self to stay or Become Healthy!

It in of it's self is not an answer all!

Now what they say about that the kidneys are supposed to take Acids out of your body, this is very true!

But their Lack of understanding about the overall process may be very short comming in their understand of the process!

When the body Lacks in enough Alkaline Minerals so as to be able to Neutralize these acids which the kidneys are trying to remove from the body, then the Kidneys may become Sick and Diseased from this overload of excess Acids!

Anyone with just a small bit of "COMMON SENSE" may figure this out by looking at the number of people who are having kidney problems and when these kidney problems get bad enough and their kidneys stop working, then they get to go on to a Dialysis machine!

Now do you have "ANY" idea how "EXPENSIVE" it is for one person to be on a Dialysis machine each month?

The last I heard from someone who was on Dialysis, was that it was costing them over $17,000.00 each month!

And they told me that there was a waiting line of people to use these Dialysis machines!

So, "IF" you follow the Money, you may be surprised at how much Money some people who put out Dis-information are making by keeping people "STUPID" to the Truth!

And their explaination about the urinary tract needing to be Acidic so that you do not have problems with infections, this is just more mis-information on their part!

"IF" you knew how to test and had the testing tools to do so, then you could find out for yourself that infections are Acidic in themself, and that "IF" you keep your body supplied with the needed Alkaline Minerals to keep your body from getting too Acidic, that you may not get "INFECTIONS" of "ANY" kind!

I believe saliva pH is much closer to blood pH than urine. Urine goes through a lot of processes, including ammonia addition if it would otherwise be too acidic that it would burn the urinary tract.

Here is what Paul Check says on the subject (from mercola.com):
