This is my first post on the liver flush forum. I have been experimenting with liver flushing for a few years now and have tried different variations based on what I have learned from other alternative healing methods to see if I could improve the flush and I do believe, at least from the perspective of my own experience, I have found a method that increases the amount of stones released by 2-300%, so I wanted to share this with you in the hope that it might be of interest. In my time, I have done around 30 flushes using different variations so am I basing the information I am presenting here on quite a bit of experience.
There are many different schools of thought on what kind of pre-flush preparation that should be done and the methodology of the flush itself and whilst there are no absolutes, by experimenting with different methods and noting the results, I have been able to put together a program that, for me at least, has been 100% consistent in producing dramatically better results. I appreciate that everyone will have different opinions on the best way to flush, so you may not agree with my approach, but all I can say is it worked for me. The details are as follows:
Pre-preparation
One of the areas that is regularly overlooked when preparing for a liver flush is the intestines. People like Andreas Moritz talk about the importance of taking a colonic before and after a flush, but rarely is any attention paid to cleaning out the stomach and the small intestines. The plaque lining that covers these areas as a result of years of eating junk not only inhibits the absorption of food, it can also inhibit the signals the oil mixture sends to the liver during the flush itself. I have noticed that using a colon cleanse product such as oxy powder for 10 days prior to the flush does make the flush work better.
Apple juice has always been the preferred method of pre-softening the stones before a liver flush, but I have never been a fan of the idea of consuming that much fruit juice because of the excessive sugar content which is excellent food for various bacteria, parasites and other undesirable organisms that our bodies harbour. I would question whether consuming that amount of sugar in such a short space of time could actually do more harm than good. The most popular alternative to apple juice is the Gold Coin Grass formula that Julia Chang sells and having compared the results of using this as opposed to using apple juice, I feel that the Gold Coin Grass achieves superior results. I agree with Julia that alcoholic tinctures do seem to help the herbs get to the liver better than boiling them. Being in the UK, I have also found a herbalist that sells the two ingredients in Gold Coin Grass in separate tinctures, which works out cheaper. A litre of apple juice on the morning of the flush itself does help as well, but I have found no extra benefit by taking it for the rest of the pre-preparation period.
The other thing I have found to be extremely powerful to aid the pre-flush is the daily juicing of green vegetables. The ones that really work well are celery, sunflower greens and wheatgrass; the latter of the two are easy to grow in trays at home. I also add cucumber to the green drink as this helps balance out the taste. You do need a special juicer to juice these kinds of vegetables which can be a bit on the expensive side, but they are in my opinion well worth the expense. Green juices are well known for their ability to cleanse the liver, especially wheatgrass; in fact the Hippocrates Institute has done years of scientific study with wheatgrass and concluded that there is no liver cleanser on the planet that is more powerful. Green juices also have the added advantage of being extremely high in the minerals the liver needs to make bile which can be of additional benefit at the time of the flush itself. I have also been using is Andreas Moritz’ Ener-Chi art picture relating to the liver to help clear energetic imbalances in the liver area. If you are not familiar with this you can find further information here: http://www.ener-chi.com/art.htm Whether or not this is having any effect I cannot really say, as this was not the only major change I made to the flush procedure which now produces such dramatic results, but it is only fair to mention that this was part of it. The Flush The other thing I have noticed is that using lemon juice with the olive oil seems to work much better than grapefruit juice. This is something that has been virtually 100% consistent with the number of stones released. Drinking the oil with pure lemon juice is somewhat gruesome, so mixing it with orange juice in a 50/50 ratio as suggested by Andreas Moritz improves the taste and doesn’t seem to dilute the effect of the lemon juice. The most important change I made with regards to the flush was an entirely accidental discovery and I cannot emphasis enough how convinced I am of the difference it made. I recently received an email from a retailer I have an account with, containing details of their latest special offers, and one of the items on sale was a bath spa mat, which pumps warm air bubbles into your bath, creating a Jacuzzi like effect. The idea of getting something like that really appealed to me, so I checked out Ebay to see if I could find one any cheaper and managed to find them for sale at half the price, so I bought one. When I tested it out, the first thing I noticed was how dramatically it increased my circulation within minutes to the point where I was so hot that I had to cool down the bath water. I always remembered that poor circulation is considered to the symptomatic of a poorly functioning liver and this is something I have suffered with for years. This increase in circulation was extremely apparent when leaving the bath and went way beyond the typically warm feeling you would have after a hot bath, especially considering that the air bubbles would cool the bath water down considerably by the time I got out. This got me thinking. If my circulation was poor, then the blood flow to the liver would also be poor and this could theoretically affect how well the liver would perform during a flush. So I thought, what would happen if on flush night, I was to have a spa bath for half an hour, finishing 15 minutes before taking the oil mixture, giving me enough time to quickly dry myself and get ready for bed, thus ensuring that at the time of my drinking the oil mixture, my circulation would be at its optimum level? My theory was that a fast circulation would turbo charge the liver and increase the power of the flush as a result. So I put my theory to the test and the results were dramatic to say the least. The first thing I noticed after getting out the bath, taking the oil mixture and lying down was how incredibly hot I felt. I knew this was a typical feeling after a spa bath, but I was swelteringly hot. I lay still on my back for 30 minutes and then turned to my right side. Within a few minutes, I fell asleep, which was bizarre considering I never normally go to bed before midnight and when taking the oil mixture at 10.00pm as recommended, it usually takes me a couple of hours at least before I fall asleep (if I’m lucky). I woke up again at 2.00am, needing to go to the toilet. At this point I expelled a huge pile of stones, which was a first as I had never produced any stones before 8.00am on any previous flushes. This happened one more time before I fell asleep again until about 6.00am. Throughout the next morning, the stones just kept on coming and I must have easily produced a minimum of a cup of stones, although probably much more, as many of the stones were crushed into tiny pieces so it was difficult to gauge a minimum. My previous best flush produced ½ cup of stones. I repeated the flush one week later (last night) and this time, the results were considerably more dramatic which is again, bizarre considering that I never get good flush results if I do not leave at least a 3 week gap in between flushing. This time, I produced piles of massive stones; the size of which I had never seen before. Again, as with the previous week, I also found myself falling asleep within a couple of minutes of lying on my right side. I have written full instructions for this flush below. A lot of what I have written will not be new to those experienced with liver flushes, so please forgive the fact that I am covering old ground here; I just wanted to cover the instructions thoroughly for the benefit of anyone who was not so familiar with liver flushing techniques. Liver Flush Instructions Ingredients Needed I litre of apple juice (Preferably organic and not from concentrate) 1 x Bottle of Oxypowder
1 x 250ml bottle of Gold Coin Grass (From www.sensiblehealth.com) or: 4tbs of Epsom salts 4oz of Cold pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 x lemons and 1 orange (enough to make 5 ½ oz of a 50/50 mix of juice) Enough Celery, Cucumbers, and sunflower greens to produce an 8oz green drink daily for 2 weeks (Cucumbers are not essential, but do balance out the taste of the juice somewhat) A bath spa mat (Babyliss make very good ones) 1-2+oz of wheatgrass daily. Method: For two weeks, in the morning on an empty stomach, take either 15ml of the Gold Coin Grass tincture or 15ml each of the Chai Hu and Jin Qian Cao tinctures in a little water. Follow with the green juices, leaving at a minimum of a 30 minute gap (preferably more) in between the tinctures and the juices. You can take the juices first and the tinctures after, just make sure the 30 minute gap applies and that they are taken on an empty stomach. During this time, try to eat a healthy diet, avoiding where possible foods that are known to be stressful to the liver such as meat, coffee and dairy products. For 7-10 days before the flush but not on the flush day itself, also take oxypowder in the evening as per instructions on the bottle. The Flush Day: 6:00pm: Drink a 6oz glass of water with 1tbs (15ml) of Epsom salts dissolved in it. 8:00pm: Drink a second dose of Epsom salts as at 6:00pm
9:00pm: Prepare everything you need for the Olive Oil and fruit juice mixture and anything else you need to do to ensure you are ready for bed when you come out of the bath as you will only have 15 minutes to dry yourself, dress for bed and prepare the oil/juice drink. 9:15pm: Take a 30 minute spa bath ensuring the spa is set to at least the medium setting, preferably the highest one. Remember, the goal is to get your circulation moving as fast as possible before the flush so avoid a low setting. 9:45: Get out of the bath; quickly get yourself ready for bed and then prepare the flush mixture consisting of 4oz of olive oil mixed with 5½ oz of a 50/50 mix of freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice. 10:00pm: Drink the oil/juice mixture and go to bed immediately, lying on your back with your head raised by a couple of pillows. Try to stay absolutely still for 30 minutes whilst focusing your attention on your liver. If you can fall asleep in this position, all the better, but if not, try to go to sleep on your right side after the 30 minutes has elapsed. The Next morning 8:00 – 8:30am: Take another dose of Epsom salts as above. I must point out that I really believe that 80% of the increase in the power of the flush was as a result of the increased circulation from taking the bath spa, although I am only going on my instinct, so any feedback based on making this change alone would be greatly appreciated. If anyone wants to try the full flush procedure out, I would really be interested in getting feedback as to how well it worked, as at the moment, I can only speak for myself, but I really cannot emphasise enough how effectively this has worked for me. I am, to an extent, still in shock at the size of the gallstones that came out of me this morning. We all see the pictures posted on the net, but nothing ever prepares you for seeing them for yourself. The largest stone I produced was easily 3 times bigger than anything I had ever produced from any of the previous 30 flushes. Another experiment I plan to do soon is to take the flush mixture whilst having the bath spa to see if the massaging effect of the air bubbles along with the longer period of increased circulation increases the effect even more, as the increased circulatory effects only last for about 35 minutes or so and you have to take 15 of those off to account for the time from bath to bed. Again, if anyone wants to beat me to that experiment, please let me know how you get on.
Here is a photo of some of the stones that I got out this morning. This was only a fraction of what I removed but it gives you an idea.
