You will not compete price wise with chlorine but replacing super chlorination with ClO2 is the best thing you can do for your pool.
I will point out ClO2 kills biofilm, so with water pressure from pumps surging through your pipes you might find back algie type substance coming into pool until removed. I use ClO2 weekly in my pool and no chlorine. You require 90 ml/3 fl oz of Miracle-Mineral-Supplement and the same amount of Hcl (hydrochloric acid) for a standard 50,000 litre pool.
Take both to skimmer box add together in small bucket and very quickly (reaction of Miracle-Mineral-Supplement strength is very violent with Hcl) pour into skimmer box. Do this in the evening as your pool will go pee yellow as the ClO2 sources the water. In two hours it will be clear and safe to swim in again. After treatment your pool will have never looked better as the ClO2 will oxidise out any metals minerals phenols magnesium iron ore etc. as well doing everything chlorine won't, crypto, giaradia etc.
