I was able to stabilize myself with water and fruit juice and veggie juice. AND by NOT ingesting any fats or proteins and watch out for insoluble fiber. (by stabilize I mean to not die, stop having diarhea and vomiting, stop being totally dehydrating and stop feeling panic and anxiety -ridden and wiped out and like I was going to die any minute). 4 weeks later I just did my first flush. (worms and 70 stones). I don't know if this will help your sister because I'm one of the chronically toxic ones. Maybe she is 'lucky' and just got some awful exposure to something like giardia or something like that? Important to get into good probiotics regardless. Maybe she can just do a few anti-parastics and be done with it. Most of the people on here who have been helping me have been sicker than that.
I just did a crash course on the liver. Medical book: Dr. Sanjiv Chopra's Liver Book. Primary Biliary Cirrhosis includes ITCHING. Another book says it's genetic but he doesn't. This is intereting to know because Vite E is recommended to lessen scarring if this is what the person 'has'. It IS a blockage of the bile ducts. I personally like diagnosis to a point because you can do additional nutritional things to help but this doesn't mean ignore the parasites
and flushing factor which as far as anybody knows could still be the actual root cause of whatever they 'label' it. There are other things one would want to know about such as iron in the liver -(because if you don't stop ingesting it, you'll kill yourself, etc).
My gastro NEVER mentioned my liver/gallbladder even while he kept checking me for hernia. I have decided for myself not to go for other diagnosis because I know that liver enzymes can show normal until one is very very bad and I know the first thing they'll want to do is a biopsy. Since I'm not willing to follow up with medical recommendation (drugs - torturing bears for their bile- and wait for transplant).
Check out liverdoctor.com. I don't like that she includes drugs, but she has a lot of info about nutrition for the liver, etc - if just to show that there are other things besides drugs. But the parasites
and stones are dealbreakers. She does mention the flush on her website. See books: Sandra Cabot: The Healthy Liver & Bowel book. It was Andreas' Moritz : The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush that convinced me how important the liver and flushing is to all health and digestion, but he didn't emphasize the parasites. Finally, I am on the Ask Dr. Sutter forum and you can see his 'basics' post and his book at
In my case, this is the more complete picture that includes the parasites
and the stones. Read his story!
