Could 'going back to carbs' BE a 'symptom', Snowflowr?
The couple of times it has happened to me didn't last long.
Then I get to the point of mentally viewing the contents of my cupboards and fridge, rejecting things I don't really want, and wanting the things that are best...or, at least, better.
I even trip over 'diets' in my reading, and have started to compare them...taking an idea from this one and that, and feeling better and better as I go.
I even feel that some items 'work' at the moment I need them, then their usefulness, and my desire for them, fades once their task is over.
It's as though I'm getting 'messages from my interior'.
This process is greatly helped by reading everything that looks likely...and by letting each item 'stew' for a while.
Using the 'bookmark' or 'my favorites' feature on your computer saves piles and piles of paper print-outs.
And, 'search' the lists of your own posts (light-gray print, below), once in a while. They make a fine 'journal' of your progress. Answers appear.
P.S. Some of the things I've added, or substituted, in my diet are...
...Whole flax seeds sprinkled on my lightly cooked veggies and eggs breakfast...and crumbled kelp, and/or hemp seed hearts.
...One or two tiny drops of stevia, for sweetening.
...Hot/warm water, especially two cups first thing in the morning.
...Some say that chopped cauliflower makes a good substitute for rice, with a stir-fry; and that brown rice, itself, beats white...for the IP6.
If you want coconut oil, for the lauric acid (the only other known source is mother's milk), you could go directly to the coconut...buying the freshest you can find. (Ask the produce man at your grocery store. He will love the opportunity to talk and may tell when the freshest are in.)
I'm going to skip the cheesecloth squeezing and let the layers separate themselves, in a clear jar or pitcher.
A lot of parsley in a fish chowder gave me the BM of my life...but only once. No discomfort.
I even 'butter' bread for a sandwich with drizzles of olive oil, adding a little minced garlic when my sandwich is going to be avocado.
