Reading
Shelton last night, and found the page he actually says about hyper and hypo thyroidism, and getting these balanced and back to working order, not his words exactly. So i was pleased to actually read that.
There was alot in that article i posted part of. About if you don't break fast properly, it will go on as fat not muscle protein, and you can change your body composition. He wasn't an advocate of the one day or short fast, even after saying only short fasts should be attempted alone. I think what he was saying was if you did a short one day fast once a week say, and used this as a quick fix for the other 6 days of maybe not so healthy eating, over time it could change your body composition to be more fat than muscle.
I am not doing it for weight loss, and don't have much trouble cutting back on food, although at times i sometimes eat unhealthily like most of us, but it does worry me about the people that are, and whether they can eat properly refeeding. I am assuming he meant just during the re-feeding programme that happens?
Also not sure same article but low blood pressure, how low do you allow it to get, was mentioned. Mine is on the low side anyway, as had slight adrenal problem, although i don't think it is that bad now, and interestingly can raise BP,balance it, with taking
Seasalt , good for adrenals. Can this be added to water occassionally?
Another point, i'm not saying i have fatty liver, but how do i know i haven't, it is very common appparently, and i read elsewhere, advice given to someone else, don't fast because you can get into trouble during the re-feeding stage, what trouble? they didn't clarify yet again, and adviced go on raw for several months i think, before attempting waterfast.
What are your views on these issues.
Thanks, i keep reading conflicting advice, and the bp thing, might be why i felt bad.
I was thinking the same, 'what trouble,' i mean you can break the fast if you get worried. Right? I can't afford to go to a retreat and have someone supervise my fast, so i do it without or not at all.
I will post the website later.
