Is an interesting term and one we can relate to.
When you add that to something Cayce said:
"For most gland secretions we see the necessary functioning of the gland is iodine, or to put it in common parlance; most glands function as machinery would under oil. The
Iodine being the oil for the gland, see?"
I find this interesting when I compare the human body with my car engine.
We've all had the time or two when our cars were a
quart (or more) LOW on oil. We really had to put a LOT of oil into our car engine, right?
BUT, once our car had a good amount of good clean oil added to its engine, our car was "sufficient" with oil (and we all know from THAT point that it takes very little oil to maintain the engine of our cars).
Every 3 months or so, however, we must "change" the oil (in the human body, perhaps let it run low again).
It takes very little oil to
maintain the engine, but there
does come a time to put a
lot of oil into the engine.
What we must figure out is when that time is necessary. We must
also figure out when to
stop the massive dosage of the "oil" - for when you overdose on "oil" in your car for too long, it can cause the gears to slip up and skip up.
Sometimes that's the only signal WE have to know when our cars have had too much. We can only tell our car is "off" by the signals our cars give us.
The slip-ups, and the knocking around of our engines, may be part of the clues.
