Hi,
I had a root canal about 7 years ago but the cap tooth was never added and a temporary filling was put in. Since that time the tooth has broken off down to little of nothing and the filling and everything has come out. I have a little knot on the gumline near the tooth and some slight irritation and headaches at times.


My question is how serious of a sitution do you think this could possibly be since there was such a long gap between treatment...I do taste what I think is infection in the tooth and I try to make sure that I keep the area clean by consistent brushing and the use of peroxide.


My second question is what type of dentist should i contact to fix my tooth and if you can recommend any type of dental plans that are good outside of the health insurance concept...because I don't have health insurance.
