Hi bling,
yes I personally take supplements, and for one very good reason: it is not possible to obtain sufficient nutrition from food alone, even organic raw food.
Research has shown (for example) that to obtain the same nutrition from just one orange grown 40 years ago, you would have to eat 8 oranges today. Depleted soils being the main reason for this.
I followed an organic raw food regimen for many years after my 2 successive prolonged fasts, but my health improved dramatically after taking natural targeted nutritional supplements.
My own supplements include:
Neurozan for Brain and nervous system health.
Vitamin D3 at 2000iu's per day which at this recommended dose is nigh on impossible to obtain from food alone.
Vitamin A at 10,000 iu's per day from purified fish sources.
VIBE, an all round natural and comprehensive concentrated supplement.
Result? superb health and endless energy with incredible stamina.
I feel like the quote from Upton Sinclair after his first prolonged fast "I have achieved a state of superhealth, unknown to humans"
It is my opinion (based on personal experience) that it is just not possible to achieve an adequate nutritional status unless you take supplements of the right caliber and quality.
