Ahhhh, the cayenne pepper!
As stated , it really is a matter of individual tolerance. Yet don't be afraid to
work up to more cayenne during your cleanses(s).
As far as damage to the lining of your stomach or colon goes, the chemicals in your
body surpass the inherent capsaicin, which is the chemical that causes the heat. Though everyone does have their limit. It's best not to push that and stay within the relm of 90,000-120,000 to be on the safe side. More on that...
The 'cayenne' that is highest in HTU(heat thermal units-generic term) or Scoville units(true system rating term for measuring pepper heat), is probably not really actual cayenne pepper. The term cayenne pepper has come to be a generic term used for many ground hot red peppers sold today, just like a person calls a tissue a 'Kleenex'. I grow peppers and to my knowledge there is no 250,000 htu cayenne out there commercially...the highest I've seen of capsicum annum(cayenne) is about 170,000. Still pretty bleedin' hot when you consider that habanero is 200-300k.
The Safeway brands , and the like, are not organic perse and very likely
irradiated. Many spices are radiation treated as they come cheap from third worlds.
Being from the poor & impoverished who very possible either don't use chemicals at all or have been brainwashed and bilked by the Monsantos of the globe into
Genetically-Modified-Organisms or toxic pesticides use. Don't use supermarket spices-ever. No, the term 'Natural' does not count.
My take on a lower htu, 90,000 say , for the mc is that you can take more than if it were say 250k. The benefits being that the cayenne, besides having great nutrients and fiber, it really works on the sludge while it steeps in the colon.
So maybe doubling/tripling up on 50k may be good too!
Contrary to popular belief, the digestive system does not ever really 'shut down' on the MC, though it does shift into low. Thus the fiber from the cayenne, along with the heat, stimulates the colon whereas one will realize more eliminations-the key to releasing toxins.
The cayenne pepper is also important due to it causing greater blood circulation. More blood circulation means more toxins are filtered out of the blood per minute than without the cayenne. The anticeptic nature as mentions is true also, so the blood is not only circulation anticeptic, it is thinning also adding more benefits.
Liquid cayenne will give the circulation effect, though not the colon stimulating effect, as much of the liquid cayenne will be passed through the urine. I believe that if someone is intolerant of dried cayenne and uses the liquid instead, that it is better to find a lower htu cayenne pepper , say 50k to reap more benefits from the cleanse. Possibly even use the 50k and the liquid in a unique McCocktail. Put an umbrella in it!
I really like hot foods, though I personally feel that scorching is not a good idea.
I add up to a teaspoon of fresh 90,000apx per lemonade, especially toward the end of the day so the bulked up cayenne can work on me while I sleep. I have worked my way up to that level from being one that had a hard time downing the 1/10th. I float my cayenne on top of the lemonade and down it before it sinks/steeps. That is my trick. I doubt I could do a teaspoon any other way. Be careful, though , as upping the cayenne while doing laborious work or exercise can be really tough on the stomach as the body is going to try to pull energy from the lemonade. You may cramp up. In this case , make your lemonades friendlier. We can over do it...
Trial and error , as well as forums like this have taught me the personalized keys to success on the cleanse. Experiment and hone...
aloha,
