Hmmm it depends bling. I often feel like fasting has a calming effect. It's like entering another state altogether. You're almost literally in another world altogether anyway, one with more time on your hands (not spent shopping cooking eating etc) and often more energy, and such a major change certainly infects our psyche or it does mine.
Unfortunately the emotional response to fasting could go either way depending on your emotional makeup to start with and also on your current circumstances. As a rule most emotional issues if we 'grin and bear' them during a fast they will pass and better days will follow. It's like having a bit of a clean out for our emotional body. Unfortunately though if current stresses are bad enough and unavoidable the fast can make the stressful emotions more raw and unbearable as well. So mostly it's good but there are always exceptions. :)
