Dangerous Bacon
This post has a deceptive title.
The Swedish medical agency in question does _not_ say the vaccine is hazardous to health in any way. On the contrary, it cites the expectation that it will save half the lives currently lost in the country to cervical cancer (this doesn't even include many, many more women who must currently undergo inconvenient, painful and expensive medical followup for precancerous changes caused by the human papillomavirus - costs that have to be compared to the cost of the vaccine itself.
The "risk" mentioned by the agency is that some women who get the vaccine might be overconfident and assume that it's 100% protective (no vaccine is) and not get standard Pap smears as well, to guard against developing cervical cancer. That problem can be solved with good public education.
It's ironic that the poster here is citing a government agency (aren't all government agencies Evil and not to be trusted, according to prevailing wisdom among antivaxers)?
I guess it's OK to trust the government - if its statements can be twisted to seem to agree with your own opinions. :)
