oh boy, you're so gonna get flamed insofar as flaming or condescension and patronizing tones are allowed.
mastercleanse is not about weight loss.
if you just focus on the weigh part you're going to eff it up either during or after by gaining it all back plus a bunch.
however- you will lose weight. you do need to work out. you do need to commit to breaking bad habits.
me-- I'm trying to break the bad habit of cheese fries, pizza, cheese bread, and brownies. I still mentally *think* about these things even though I really don't want to eat them. When I stop thinking that eating these things could even be pleasant on a regular basis, then I will know I'll be ready to be off MC.
And I do find myself thinking about those items pleasantly less and less as the days go by.
can you commit to a raw food diet for several weeks after your MC? Are you willing to work on your mental addictions? Are you willing to accept your body the way it needs to run?
I'm probably going to be losing anywhere between 20-40
pounds depending on how long I do this. I would love to have my permanent weight loss be 25
pounds off of my starting point (I'm actually not in the overweight range, but am slightly under it.)
however, muscle weighs more than fat and once I start focusing on my muscles-- that number may not be possible.
so, make a list of objectives for yourself.
Here's an example of mine:
1. stop addiction to bad foods mentioned. stop putting myself in situations where I eat these things and feel physically gross afterwards (not mentally just physically.)
2. work out muscles so that when I do lose weight, I'm losing more fat than muscle. also focus on making muscle work outs more regular for myself.
3. be open to the process-- whether it's emotional, weird, gotta-pee-every-fifteen-minutes, and cleansing.
4. improve my sleep.
5. challenge myself by even taking this on.
in the end, you'll have to be realistic. I'd love to be at my high-school weight, but I do actually like the body I had when I started (and even a little better since there's a little less cellulite and my stomach has stopped being my third boob.)
