I'm not familiar with the gardens that you mention, and I believe that you are in Southern California, correct? If you ever get up to Napa, check out the organic garden at Fetzer Winery! It is awesome! And, of course, stop in Calistoga for a mud bath, drink some sparkling wine with your lunch at the House of Chandon out on their outdoor patio that also overlooks some beautiful gardens, head over to Esalen and jump in one of their newer hot tubs that overlooks the Pacific, drive over the big bridge in Big Sur, go to the Spa on the Plaza in Monterey for their 2-person massage and the sesame seed oil drip on the third eye (can't remember what that's called again!), and stay at some fine hotels or B&Bs during your trip! Oh, and make sure to stop at Harbin, get naked, have a watsu treatment, and meditate in their hottest natural spring! That would be the one where I could barely stand to be in it because the water was so scalding, and I sat on the side and watched a Native American Indian, about the size of Chief from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, walk into the semi-enclosed silence-only spring, walk into the hot water, and totally submerge himself without even flinching, and stay under the scalding water for several minutes, and them slowly walk out of the water, and then walk out of the enclosure, and then just vanish! Yep, just like that, he disappeared!
Hey, wait a minute! That's my travel itinerary, lol! Well, you could come along with me, if you wanted to! And I would really like to spend some more time in San Diego. I was only there once; flew in at night. What a trip that airport is to fly into!
Yea, I have a pretty good idea of what the energy is doing, although I really think someone should be studying my body! Well, I know who should be studying my body, lol! And in addition to him, some scientifically-minded person should be taking some samples of, like my tears, for instance. They are almost the consistency of oil! And I'm guessing that the chemical composition might be different than regular tears.
And I didn't go in the Theosophical Society, just roamed around the grounds. I've taken a few workshops there, although I've spent more time hanging around outside doing magic and rituals and stuff. And I attended some big Interfaith Fair there years ago that was set up outside. I didn't go to any of the speakers areas, though. It looked too boring to me, lol! I just kinda hung out and checked out the artists booths, chatted with some friends, and made met some new people. Oh, and I also like going to the Quest bookstore there! Great selection of spiritual books, crystals, incense, and meditation cushions, and some really beautiful artists wares, including jewelry! I stopped in there, too, after I walked the grounds the other day, and I asked them if they had a copy of the Ofudesaki which was written by Oyasama and is like the bible of the Tenrikyo tradition. I figured that if anyone would have it, other than an online source, that they would. And I was really surprised to learn that they didn't even know about it! I've got to get a copy of it, and I want this artist, who makes beautiful handmade books in Asheville, NC, to copy it for me.
Oh, and here's a link to info on Tenrikyo, for anyone who's interested...
OK, so I want to go to Japan, too! Maybe next New Years since that is a big day for Oyasama!
~ Later OPoPoeO... What is your name and avatar from, anyway?
