I recently purchased a 12% food grade h202 for oral consumption and have been taking it for a month (O. W. Bionics) . After further researching, I am in doubt as to whether it is safe because all of the articles say it must be 35%. Is it safe to continue taking the 12%? Thanks a lot in advance.
As long as the 12% H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) is indeed food grade, it will be OK. The only difference is that 12% has an extra atom of oxygen on 12% of the water molecules while 35% has 35% of the water molecules with an extra atom of nascent Oxygen attached so it is almost 3 times stronger. Some companies make 12% H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) so it is safer to ship because it is less oxidative than 35%.
Hope this helps
