1.5 years with sudden digestive issues after I consumed some horribly rotten spinach dip.
No digestive issues prior, though I did quit smoking after 7 years just 3 months prior (which I am told that smoking can help mutate good bacteria due to it's weakening antibiotic effect and the struggle for the bacteria to survive)
Tried everything imaginable, H2O2, most expensive probiotics in high doses for months on end, kefir, enemas, antibiotics, enzymes, coconut oil, parasite cleaning, liver flushing, kidney/liver herbs, Dr. Shulze, Dr. Clark, vital hematology, Grenova testing (great smokies), acupuncture, fasting, PB shakes, homemade yogurt, florastor, fermented foods, all raw foods, juicing, all well cooked foods, change jobs, eliminated stress, heavy exercise, allergy testing, LDA/EPD immunotherapy (still going!), allergy rotation diet, candida diet, specific carbohydrate diet, type-o diet (all in combination). Always gets better for a short time (maybe a week or two) than it goes back south, still I persist with each protocol for months on end.
This time, I sense something different.
I am armed with many monthly benchmarks of my stool bacteria. I will soon have a fresh report that I sent in yesterday, and will see where things are at in a few weeks. To me this sounds like a better approach than reading everyone's speculation on the effect on our intestinal bacteria, does it not?
I want to know primarily how this is going to make me feel and how it may or may not correlate with my bacterial analysis.
Just a little on my bacteria history: I never seem to get any lactobacillus growth. My fantastic holistic DR tells me this is an indictor of yeast, which consumes and thrives on lacto. Interesting to note that even with the Arizona parasitology test, very little growth can be had from my samples - thankfully, they are non-Candida and non dividing cells, so just opportunistic growth. (Genova NEVER finds any yeast growth in my samples) I always have plenty of good E. Coli and Bifidus and zero Lacto, plus in the 'other' category I always seem to find Alpha & Gamma Haemolytic Strep and Mucoid E. Coli - these seem to make a nice comeback as well after aggressive treatments, even though they always zero out on antibiotics.
I have studied all of my indicators and I hope to find interesting results, even if this does not work 100% - it would be nice to share my findings with you all, as I have learned so much from this website.
So I began a little more aggressively than recommended mostly because I generally feel well with mild to medium symptoms.
I started with 3 drops MMS and 15 drops organic lemon juice and 2/3 glass of water. (did not use ACV because of the yeast concern, and I suspect I have a sensitivity to citric acid, as I seems to get a reaction from anything preserved with it) -- Gulped it down on an emtpy stomach (well, 4 hours since my last meal anyway) and off we go. I do not expect any 'miracles', but I get a little giddy at the thought of one. So that's good enough to keep me smiling!
Best to all
