sometimes i get the blistery bumps and it seems obvious i've accidentally ingested gluten, but other times i think i'm just run down from eating poorly, like having too much sugar, and then toxins come out of the skin just from having a body that isn't functioning properly. i do know that when i have the gluten, it is sure to happen within about 2 weeks time, however, the effects of gluten-allergy on the small intestine cause many other problems with foods, without doing a big regime to heal the damage, problems just seem to get worse. avoiding the culprit foods helps feel good day to day, but now i realize i have to decongest my liver or i won't be able to tolerate oils or beans or nuts (I already have problems with walnuts, pecans, peanuts, and most recently and disturbingly, the awesome nut: the almond). more and more
food allergies come on, despite the fact that i've avoided gluten religiously for about 7 years.
why did i say all that? i guess i'm agreeing that it might not be gluten ingestion, but the damage caused by it from the past. l-glutamine and probiotics are supposed to help, but they haven't been enough on their own. i am now doing the liver cleanse because it's one of a few things i can do while breastfeeding.
