Although MH hates Colloidal Silver this is the only thing I've found other than the best methods of Violet Ray, Multiple Wave Oscillator for this problem. Whats happened is that the nerve endings electrical voltage has dropped dramatically which causes the pain. The machines above dramatically increase the voltage back to what it was or there abouts dramatically stopping the burn pain and I've proved this with a Vintage Tesla Violet Ray and a nasty burn from an oven. The Colloidal Silver does the same but on a much lesser scale. I do not know if Salt water would help, I doubt it but you could try it!

Also remember that Burns create shock/stress which can cause Dehydration and Scurvy (Lack of Water and Vitamin C)

I know it won't help now, but in the future, you might want to have some of the Skinner's Salve that MH sells - I burned myself with the edge of a pan, and put some of that on, and viola!, next day it didn't hurt at all!

Also, having an aloe vera plant that you can just cut a small piece off and rub the juice on the burn is also handy.
