I know that this thread is 2 months old but I have also experienced extreme, chronic nausea, and figured out some things that helped me.
Ginger is good, but star anise tea is better. The ginger would give me heartburn (oddly), and I had to swallow more frequently, making the nausea worse. I would boil 5-6 star anise pods in a quart of water for approx. 10 min.
Mint is ok, but remember that peppermint oil will relax the stomach muscles, and you may find that it makes the sick feeling worse in the long run.
The nausea was greatly improved from drinking the juice of 1/2 lemon in water with every meal. My digestion was much more effective. I also really like to use 3 drops of oregano oil shaken into my water. Drinking lemon and oregano with every meal provides acid to help break down the food, an anti-bacterial/fungal to effectively sterilize what I've eaten, and helps to keep me drinking water regularly.
For times when the nausea is unbearable, and you are just dry retching over and over, kneel in front of the toilet while someone massages your neck. I have a stash of belladonna alkaloid tablets for severe GB related vomiting and extreme dry heaves.
I also have found eating very dark greens raw (like rainbow kale/dinosaur kale, baby spinach, broccoli, dandelion) to have some benefit.
Hope you are feeling better...
