Maybe I wasn't clear; you can take 4x as much SeMC before you reach the toxic level in comparison to elemental Selenium.
SeMC is designed to bypass a bunch of complicated conversions required and go directly to the cellular level; this is what makes it so effective in marking cancer cells for organized destruction vs. necrosis.
But from my tests even taking large amounts of SeMC is not good enough. The body still needs elemental Selenium and Selenomethionine. To make Selenomethionine from elemental selenium it needs to go through a Methylation cycle and that isn't always working. Selenium from yeast is basically a bunch of elemental Selenium and bacteria that turn it into Selenomethionine; the exact ratio is unknown so they simply sell it as "from Yeast".
