Memorial day weekend!

It's official - I'm not getting on the scale again. I weighed in at 189 and that made me a little sad, but I'm getting smaller and doing tons of exercise, so I just don't have time in my brain for these numbers anymore. I'm edging down to a size 10 and I lost 1.5 inches off my hips in a month, which is awesome.
I attribute it completely to running. I'm replacing fat with muscle, I'm doing it at a good rate, I look just fine, and I've really decided to keep up the effort it's going to take to get down to the low 170s and eventually the 160s. I think it's going to take me probably until this time next year, but I'm OK with that. The fat on my hips and thighs is incredibly stubborn, and it's going to take a long time to get through it.
Woke up this am ran 4 miles (walked a little bit of it - I ran the hills but walked a bit). Not used to running in the morning. Blech. But whatever - I did the whole thing, then went for a dip in the lake. Yippee. It felt so good. So we're grilling all weekend, turkey burgers, chicken, meat. It's going to be a protein studded weekend. I'm totally OK with that. I'll go raw for the rest of the week, but I'm going to enjoy the weekend.
Right now I'm uploading music for the wedding ipod (no band for us!) It's taking forever, but it's worth it. I have 56 days to get the music in order, so I'm glad I'm starting now. It's fine if it's slow.
