ACKNOWLEDGING PIONEERS BOB QUINN AND JERE GETTLE
I have been uplifted throughout my life by pioneers. I want to take time now to thank two of them, who gifted me with the honor of gifting you with a packet of Ceremonial Ancient Wheat. The wheat is a metaphoric and literal "Gardening Tool" for Self Growth intended to teach you how to fulfill your purpose. My wish is that in growing these seeds, you will be inspired to grow other seeds - and learn to grow some of your own food.
On that note, I am sending thanks to two friends, Bob Quinn, at KAMUT International @KamutBrand & Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company @RareSeeds for their gracious support in helping produce the Winning Back Sacred Seeds Starter Kit (#WinningBackSacredSeedsStarterKit) containing Plant Your Dream Seeds (#PlantYourdreamSeeds).
Bob Quinn is revolutionizing our understanding of Wheat as a Sacred Seed. He teaches not only how it was intended to be grown, but provides research and understanding. Ancient Wheat can be health-giving for many people if properly prepared.
In an age when more and more people have negative health impacts from eating wheat, Bob Quinn took a handful of ancient heirloom seeds of Khorasan wheat, named it KAMUT® Brand to ensure its organic and non-GMO integrity, and turned it into thousands of acres of crop to support many farmers in the worthwhile endeavor of growing ancient wheat. He then set out to do scientific research showing that many healthy people could continue to eat wheat, if the wheat they ate was grown by organic non-GMO methods, and if they were consuming wheat that had been properly prepared for digestion.

JERE GETTLE FOUNDED BAKER CREEK HEIRLOOM SEED COMPANY
Jere Gettle at the Petaluma Seed Bank, the western headquarters for Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company. This is the location where its Missouri staff coordinate the annual National Heirloom Expo. This photo was taken following the National Heirloom Expo in 2016. Each year I bring Jere one of the award winning watermelons from San Diego's JR Organics.
Jere Gettle, at the age of 18 years old, more than 19 years ago, was concerned that more and more varieties of indigenous and original seeds known as Heirlooms, were disappearing. Out of his concern, he started the Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company, which now has a collection of more than 1800 varieties of seeds. Many seeds carry the stories of indigenous people. Other heirlooms are seeds that have been passed down from generation to generation and contain a natural biodiversity that has not been manhandled. These seeds can adapt to various climate conditions if need be.
The seeds Jere and company share with others are beautifully packaged. I say they come with a mandate that as we plant them, we are taking our own lives out of the "package" and revealing our own sacred seed nature.

This is my favorite photo of Jere Gettle. He is an American hero. I am honored to know him and have him as an Enchanted Garden Club Member and Sponsor.
