Day 12 of 60 Day Water Fast

Late last night I had the first real cravings. They weren't intense. They were similar to how I felt on day 4 and 5. The night of day 5 I actually dreamt of eating the most fantastic foods. I woke up and told myself, "see, you ate at night, so now you can fast in the day."

Well Thursday is my weekly weigh-in and since I started this blog on day 10 I figured I'd put here the results since I started.
After suddenly and unexpectedly ending a 14 year relationship the night of the 20th, I decided to fast to get out of my body's way and do it how my body is made to do... I had ate on the 20th, so I didn't count that day and I had a protein shake on the 21st and a little salmon. Only water is from May 22nd. I do take milk thistle and a probiotic every couple days, and today I took those things plus a kelp vitamin. Oh and I do do oil pulling with virgin coconut oil.


May 20 212 lbs
May 27 197.6 lbs
June 3. 188 lbs

Things I have noticed:

My nails are growing and are super hard!

I woke up this morning and realized my teeth felt hard and strong. In the past years I felt they were shifting and well there is a huge difference.

My skin!!! It feels so taut even though I'm down a dress size, when I lost weight in the past there where areas that use to bother me because as I lost weight the skin there would become loose and bumpy like cellulite --are not there!

I don't feel hungry. Today, my energy level is good and I slept as long as I could last night. I'm amazed the amount of energy I have given I haven't ate in 12 days. This is way better than when I used to kill myself working as hard as I could in crossfit then be sore and stiff for days. After working out I would be exhausted and have to fight with all my might not to overeat. Don't get me wrong, I am going to start excercising after the fast and I will excercise for heart health, emotional well-being, weight maintenance and for fun! I do think excercise should be part of a health lifestyle. As of May 20, 2015 I was 80lbs overweight, high blood pressure, borderline diabetes, depression, the worst dandruff you can have, plus halitosis and profuse sweating and my pee smelled like ammonia. I've been sick for awhile, and in a toxic relationship for the last 14 years. I feel compelled to fast... To be a better wiser version of who I was before I met him.
