DAY 1. WATER FAST to cleanse
I am beginning a water fast to cleanse and begin to lose weight.

I am back with another water fast. My last one didnt even get started but I have had great results in the past so I am determined this time.
My goal is to fast for at least 14 days minimum. But since I know that my body is always in charge of whether or not I can continue, I am going to see what happens.
The fast is always over once your body craves food again. Thats when you know its time to begin coming out of your fast slowly. It is also the time that your body teaches you what foods you should not be eating. For me when I come out of my fast, dairy always turns my stomach for at least a week, and fish and eggs are what I crave. This means I should really be eating way less dairy in my diet once the cleanse is over. Your body teaches you, its your brains responsibility to listen and obey your body.
So, I am beginning today. I have only consumed water today, but yesterday I prepared myself by drinking only water, cutting out caffeine and only eating light foods such as egg, fish, etc. If you eat light, you prepare your body for the fast.
So Day One today of the fast, I have not eaten anything but I have consumed water. I feel pretty good. My stomach is rumbling but its not over powering. I do know that if I can get through three days of no food, my appetite will go away and it will get easier. This is an important time because your body begins to cleanse, since there is no food to digest. If you have the flu or a cold, this is the time when those ailments will begin to go away because your body can fight them fully without having to expend time and energy on digesting your meals. Every time your stomach growls, take some water. Your tummy will appreciate the water and will stop grumbling. If you feel sick due to lack of food, its time to use a suppository or other means that you prefer for making yourself elimnate waste. As soon as you have done this, the nausea will cease immediately. Its just your body telling you it has too much waste.
I am also doing this fast to kick start my diet since I have gained a huge amount of weight in the last 2 years. I am 46 years old and now weigh 315 pounds. I have to reduce the weight so that I can safely walk and jog in order to continue to lose. I used to jog 6 km a day, 5 days a week but at this size I can barely walk that distance. So the weight has to go so that my muscles can endure a longer walk and then jog.
Surgery is NOT REQUIRED to lose weight if you fast safely!!! Fasting ensures that the weight comes off with no stretch marks or flabby skin. This is impportant if you need to lose the kind of weight I have to lose. I dont want flabby skin. So if you fast for 14 days, then eat a sensible diet for a month or so and then fast again....your body will tighten that skin for you with the water and less food.
I know because I have done it before!!! I lost 150 pounds before doing this, but then got all depressed over the past 2 years and gained it back....
so here I go again!!
