Post Fast - Day 4

Still in ketosis and officially on Day 1 Paleo Plan

I am not surprised that it went up after eating yesterday. I mean my colon has been pretty much empty so I expect food to have to obviously be there when not fasting. Food and added fluid because of digestion. I'm not worried. I'm just thrilled this is the longest I haven't cracked after a fast whether master cleanse or water fast. It may not be the perfect way I planned it but quite content to still be where I am.

I did check my ketone levels and happy to say, although it is on the lower shade of pink at 15 than the usual 40-80 I'm used to seeing, I'm ecstatic I'm not off ketosis. I woke up with less neck pain than I did last night but I still felt kinda crappy. Tired and needing more rest. Fatigued. I felt some weird bloat as well. I did my coffee enema. More little boulders out and life was fabbbuuulous. What a world of difference.

I started late in the morning consuming 1 cup flax milk and another hour later had 1 cup almond milk.

Now I am starting on the Paleo diet more officially.

My first meal I had around 1:30pm
leftover grilled veggies with olive oil and a caramelized onion chicken patty (from costco that's all natural). Now I'm not sure about the ingredients because I threw the packaging away but remembered seeing only the nutritional content and it looked good. very low carb and hi protein. My snack was chia seeds with almond milk and cinnamon powder and stevia. I was so busy I just ate the same thing for a second round for dinner and 2nd snack. But I had a third snack or dessert that was absolutely yummy and decadent. Sunflower butter, coconut oil, pumpkin seeds, cocoa powder, and chia seeds. I refrigerated it and came out an amazing chocolate treat. Okay now my total numbers seem crazy for the day. I didn't eat much but here are the numbers:

Total calories 1921 kCal
Carbs : net 45g (87.5 - 42.8g fiber)
Pro: 60g
Fat: 160g

Boy I am not used to having that much fat. But I have to say I had no cravings. It's 11:11pm and I AM STILL FULL!!! I believe the last food I had was the after dinner dessert around 7pm. I am normally having snacking temptations later in the night but I have no desire for my usual food crack of sweet/salty carbs. I am so satiated. Now my big wonder is how my body is gonna process the combination food/nutrients and the quantity of it.

I read different stuff on the paleo. They say you aren't supposed to count calories and some say you do. I'm not used to logging in all this info on my intake. It's just not me to do that but I need some scientific proof this is working. I'm just gonna try this and listen to my body and look at the results. Whether I gain weight, don't gain weight, or stay the same will let me know whether this is will be a good plan for me or if I just need to tweak it. I know for a fact I am sensitive to insulin spikes and have gluten issues so I hope this does improve my health. Well, it's all experimental. I am optimistic but results will speak for itself.

It's 11:20pm and am surprisingly very sleepy considering I did a lot of cooking and cleaning for the day but missed our hour walk. One last thing. I checked my ketone levels just now and am between 15-40. Yaaayy. My pH was on the acidic so I juiced some Kale and cucumber to help increase alkalinity. I am going to drink some water and go to sleep.
