"... I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore! And neither is Mark. 'We’re gonna battle the FDA out in the open and make them respond and look at the facts,' he said.
So, now he and the Consumer Legal Defense Fund are bringing the fight to FDA, by slapping a lawsuit down upon them.":

The claims of health hazards from drinking raw milk in general have been argued ad nauseum & the end result is a history of misdirected hype and hysteria. This article supposedly presents a continued "warning" & also includes the point of financial intersts at stake for the commercial milk industry. Money and health. But the truth here is only about the money! It always was.
The start of the controversy was in the 1800's when distilleries displaced the cow from it's natural grass-feeding pastures into a hell of confinement, feeding on swill. Understandably, the cows got sick, produced sick milk, people got sick and many died. Pasteurization was originally not intended for milk but it was applied to that "milk problem". Whatever people may claim about pasteurization one thing is certain: pasteurization never corrected the problem of the displaced cow. Today, commercial dairies continue the confinement of cows, feeding cows on other than the cow's natural diet yet through the help of pharmaceuticals they suppress the symptoms of sick cows along with pasteurizing that milk to lower "the count" of what otherwise would be unacceptable. Once again, these tactics do not correct the core problem of a displaced cow.
On the other hand we have small family farms that have real pastures for the cows. That environment not only allows the cow to be healthy it allows the milk to be healthy too! It is a different milk than what comes out of a confinement cow (on a who knows what all altered diet). The difference is enormous! The difference is not as much about pasteurization vs raw as it is where the cow spends its day.
There are two different milks. One is intended to be pasteurized. One doesn't need to be pasteurized because it has an built-in immune system that is alive and well! That is the milk that I want! I avoid all milk that needs to be pasteurized. Fear-mongerers will say why milk should be pasteurized but do not say that everything that gets killed is still milk.
