I just finished day two of my fast. Today I had the urge to eat, I just wanted to eat something. I felt like I had no control and I just have to put that piece of bread in my mouth. But instead I drank fruity green tea, which calmed my nerves and relaxed me. I think that before you fast or while your fasting, you have to prepare yourself to deal with the worst temptations. You have to accept the fact that you will go crazy and have the urge to eat. The key thing is how will you deal with that situation. How do you over come it? The first few days are the hardest, you have the temptation and a big headache. You just have to tell yourself that its normal and you can handle it. No pain or misery is greater than your health.
Think of all the positive side to fasting. Yes fasting has detox symptoms and temptations. But also fasting can be relaxing and give you a whole new perspective on life. I say just hang in there and you will get there. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE EVIL voice that says , Its ok, its only day one, you can start again 2morrow. Also that voice in your head will say eat today and fast 2morrow. Before you know it 3-4 months have past or even a year and that 2morrow never came. So whatever you want to do, do it now.
