Morning of Day 6
I did the Saltwater flush and drank smooth move tea.
Date: 4/25/2009 10:16:52 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 1192 times ON Wed. day 3 i did a saltwater flush at 9:45a 2 tsp of celtic salt in 32 oz of lukewarm water, basically i put the water as warm as I could stand to drink it without burning myself or feeling discomfort. By 11:30 it started to come out. I also drank smooth move tea and was in the bathroom with diarrhea all day. I also drank some smooth move on Wed night. The next day at work I had to go several times at work, but nothing that i couldn't hold, I am a school teacher so I don't have the luxury of going anytime I'd like. I avoid the SWF while I am working because it will cause me to go all morning, as I experienced on Wed and when I did the master cleanse.
thursday night I drank another cup of smooth tea to see what would happen. When I did the MC in the past I did smooth move tea morning and night in addition to the SWF, so I never experimented with the effects of just drinking the smooth move tea. Well, on Friday morning, I went to the washroom twice before going to work around 6:00 am and out came lots of brown slushy smelly stuff. I think it is important to state because it was obviously different from the digested orangish juice remains that had come out on Wed. I do believe my bowels were releasing something. That was yesterday. I did not drink smooth move last night (fri) to see what will happen today. I've been awake for an hour and i feel something happening in there, but not sure what it is. I have only had 12 oz of tap filtered water.
The last time I did a juice fast I don't remember doing anyting to get the toxins out, yikes! So I am glad I learned from reading the forums that I should be doing something to facilitate that.
I am enjoying the silence of a sat. morning in a big city before I am off to cleaning and laundry, but I am really looking forward to my first day of gardening for the season.
I stopped oil pulling for this fast. I am not really sure why. I guess I am thinking I do not want to add any oils to my body, just pure juices for this phase, however long it lasts. In addition to being overweight, i also have psoriasis. I do believe it can be cured, I just have to find the right formula to heal my body. I am sure that glass of wine last night set me back one or two days of cleansing. I debated and then i went for it as I was out with some friends who do not know I am fasting. After leaving them I went and had a delicious juice at a raw restaurant about 15 min. from my home. It was delish, it had beets, cayenne, ginger and I don't remember what else.
so yesterday's meals were
juices of
3 oranges for breakfast
2 grapefruits for lunch
2 quarts of water
1 glass of chardonnay about 8 oz ( it hit my 179 pound wino body as if i had had 3-4 glasses of wine!)
1oz of wheatgrass
1 10oz beet, ginger, cayenne, mystery juice
1 Kombucha, the bottle says it is organic and raw, the 16 oz bottle has 4 grms of sugar and some nutrients, I drink it for the probiotic content, as I am currently not doing anything for the probiotics. Perhaps I should get some rejuvelac.
I feel I have lost some more pounds, but I will not weigh myself until tomorrow. I keep thinking about what I am going to do once I am off the fast to maintain the weight loss.
I will begin running soon, perhaps just three miles every other day, then kick it up into high gear, about 5 miles once I stop the fast so i don't regain the weight.
