Day 16 11 y
Soup is so good
OMG soup is sooooo good! I woke up this morning and squeezed 4 oranges with some pulp for breakfast. My first wonderful change from lemonade. I did this again for lunch as well as throwing in another lemonade after some exercise and then started nibbling on the soup cooking in the slow cooker. I had actually started the soup early in the morning but as it cooked more and more I couldn’t resist taking a little here and there. By the time it was all cooked I had a bowl and wowie was it good. I then had another bowl. This is not only a taste thing but in some way my body is craving sol ... read more
Day 15 11 y
Well it has been a wonderful 15 days - except for Day 1 that is. I am looking forward to some orange juice tomorrow and some soup tomorrow night.
My skin has cleared up substantially (no welts on the hairline on the back of my neck, no pimples), still a little red though. I’ve lost around 18 pounds since being on the cleanse and feel so good because of that.
The trick now is to remain eating healthy and to exercise far more often. Now its time to plan my soup recipie for tomorrow. I bought a slow cooker in anticipation - can’t wait to taste something other then lemon juice.

Day 10 to 14 11 y
I’ve been travelling for the last 5 days so have not had the oppurtunity to keep up to date with my log.
Every day since day 10 has been pretty similar. Lots of energy, don’t feel hungry and feel like I could easily do this another 20 days if I wanted to. That being said I will likely make tomorrow my last day as I need to get back into the habit of eating food again as I will be doing certain activites.
One tip is the use of mason jars. They are the ideal thing for travelling. I would make about 8 jars up the night before and keep them in a cooler - worked great. Also, for maki ... read more
Day 9 11 y
Getting easy ...
I think at this point the cleanse has become really easy. In fact right now I think I will have no problem going another 10 days. Energy is good, cravings are pretty much nonexistent. Even licking the maple syrup spoon after making the drinks is a little too sweet for me now.
The weight loss has plateaued it seems. The last two days I’ve only lost perhaps a 1 lbs. At the beginning I was around 226 and now I’m hovering around 212 and slowly losing everyday now.
Tomorrow is the minimum duration period. I’m going longer. I really love the lightness on my feet. Even 12 lbs can mak ... read more
Day 8 11 y
Salt Water Flush - never again!
I woke up this morning feeling pretty good however my tongue had a thick white coating - removing phlegm. I decided to try the salt water flush again. Even now writing about it makes me want to throw up. I tried so hard to get it down - a little over 1/2 a quart I figure. I just couldn’t do it - the gag reflex was too strong. The first portion wasn’t warm enough and that can make a difference. But to tell you the truth that is it for me and the salt water flush. I think I will just stick to the laxative tea at night and maybe use the tea in the morning as well as every other day. I ... read more
Day 7 11 y
Licking the (Maple Syrup) Spoon that Feeds You :)
Well today I’m starting to feel a little more lightheaded. My energy is lower and my mood is mellower. Could be the weather/pressure change (first cold, cloudy day in at least a month).
1 week in and maybe 2 more to go. We shall see. Hopefully I get some more energy again soon.
Had some peppermint tea last night - it tasted really good. Also I’ve developed a passion for licking the maple syrup spoon when making my lemonades. I wonder how many other cleaners have done this as well. Its like a 1 second dessert. Mmmmmm!

Day 6 11 y
Disturbing Environments turn me into a Curmudgeon :)
Today I slept in to recover from a few days of very little sleep except that there was some sort of air show this morning here in Vancouver that took me out of deep sleep. When I finally did get up I was hungry and lacking energy.
Drove to work and had two lemonades and then felt much better. I think it is better to not put off the drinks and stick to some sort of schedule if possible.
I feel a little groggy today but think a nice long walk will help that. Still haven’t gone with the SWF again. Perhaps tomorrow morning.
So far today the gut raunch symptoms are not present.

Day 5 11 y
Healthy Food - mmmmmmm!
An interesting happened to me last night. I took my mother and daughter to IKEA and they ate at the cafeteria. What was weird was in the cafeteria line they have various displays - first one was sweet, dessert like items and the next display offered more wholesome, healthier meals i.e. salads, sandwiches, etc. Before this cleanse I would have been eyeing up the desserts with loads of desire, but when both healthy and junky were before me I couldn’t take my eyes off the healthy food. In fact, the sight of the desserts was a little nauseating. I wasn’t even hungry and it wasn’t an ordeal ... read more
Day 4 11 y
Feeling great - better than usual. In fact, last night I only had 5 hours sleep and still have loads of energy. I skipped my senna tea last night because I had to work really early this morning at a clients and didn’t want to be running to a toliet all the time.
Usually if I only have 5 hours sleep I am a complete wreck. Amazing. No headace anymore - just some lightheadedness.
I’ve lost between 8-10 lbs so far and feel it. I’m a little worried about the rapid weight loss - but what can I say - I feel great.

Day 3 11 y
Well yesterday went much better than day 1. I didn’t have the same head throbbing craziness I experienced on Day 1. I actually slept quite well last night.
Today I feel lighter. I went for a short walk and was suprised at how easy it was to spring up some stairs.
There is still this very shallow low grade headache/fever occuring but it is barely noticeable and seems to be gradually going away. Hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow.
Again I did not take the SWF and opted for the senna tea this morning instead. I don’t think I’m eliminating enough though. Visits to the throne ... read more
Day 2 11 y
Feeling better then last night
Well last night (Day 1) was nothing short of hell. I had one heck of a headache that gradually got worse and worse until reaching its peak just before I vomitted and went to bed. I’m not sure what that was. Perhaps toxins, perhaps sunstroke - or maybe the salt. When I did throw up I could taste salt - wondering if it just sat in my stomach all day. I didn’t really eliminate as much as I thought I would.
This morning I woke up feeling much relieved. I weighed myself as 223.5 lbs. I actually felt not bad all morning, but as I write this now in the early afternoon I can feel that sa ... read more
Day 1 11 y
Starting out from base camp
A friend tried this a month ago and had some nice results. Most notably he said it made him realize his awareness with food.
Last night had some senna tea (tasted good). Woke up this morning and mixed the full quart of luke warm water with 2 tsp of sea salt. OMG what a terrible experience getting the whole quart down.
About 20 minutes later used the toliet. And then again another hour later.
Started off with a little headache this morning and feeling just a little spacey.
I’m planning on going for 20 days. Looking forward to being light on my feet again. I haven’t weighed ... read more
