Devising the plan of attack!   16 y  
Laying the groundwork is an important step. The plan has to be flexible enough to work, yet solid enough to yield the intended results.
 
I am thinking about how I want to do this fast. I have to be careful to figure out parameters that I can live with. So, often I decide that I’m going to do something and I make it so difficult that I’m doomed to fail. It’s my all or nothing attitude that causes me so much grief! My mom gave me a juicer for my birthday. I have never juiced before, but I am very interested in doing it. From what I have read, it’s best to juice vegetables, as they are lower in sugar than fruits. The thought of juicing spinach is not very appealing to me, but eating fresh spinach is easy. Trying to lose weight has been a constant theme in my life! The last few years have brought success and failure in terms of the number on the scale.
 
Stats Just turned 30! Married, mother of 5 year old 5’8’’ Medium build, My arms and legs are slim. I tend to gain weight in my mid-section and inner thighs. Over the course of two years (2002-2004) I lost over 50 lbs (highest weight 214). I got down to 158 lbs., which is a size 8 or 10 for my frame. Last year, I started taking Zoloft for anxiety. I was on it for 6 months and gained about 30 lbs. I water fasted in January and lost 12 pounds, but my sorry eating habits put me right back at 180 lbs. There are those that are not "cut out" for continuous fasting. It's not that we lack the resolve to fast, but due to schedules and family obligations fasting for a prolonged period of time is not possible. Fasting Every Other Day is a more feasable plan for many.… more...
