day six. 10 y
little reminders of hunger, so more lemonade! and maple syrup in tea...
Oops I mistakenly posted my entry last time as day four when it was actually day five.
Anyways, day six - went smoothly. Crazy busy today with back to back meetings so havent had much time to think about food. But I did notice I had to drink some extra lemonade and put some maple syrup in my tea since I was starting to get hungry. This helped make the hunger pass. I don’t have much to say other than I did yoga this morning and I am looking forward to getting back on food next week... My stomache is growling! Oh, yes - I weighed in yesterday for the first time and I had lost 10 lbs since ... read more

day four, boredom brings hunger, but generally a breeze...
Felt pretty good all day, but theres something about sitting in a 4 hour meeting that gets me to feeling hungry. Day went well, went home to do some yoga after the meeting ended and then treated myself with a 90 minute massage...Ive found the secret to this cleanse over the years is finding non-food items to treat yourself with..Whether its buying a new bar of soap, a new magazine, a massage, a scrub, whatever...Afterall youre saving a ton of money by not eating :)
Had a ton of energy that I couldn’t sleep at night. Or maybe I was stressed about my first date situation tomorrow. Hmmm. ... read more

pre cleanse, juice, preparing for the master cleanse
So my approach to this was to start this past monday with only veggies and fruit, and then move onto only liquids on tuesday and wednesday....I am focusing tuesday and wednesday on fresh juices from my neighborhood whole foods as well as supplementing with coconut juice and odwalla super food juice... i started monday with yoga, and am planning on doing yoga everyday...i am really excited about my back to back yoga tonight...a 90 min. bikram followed by a candlelight ashtanga power yoga session.... I don’t think i will be able to handle the bikram once the master cleanse sets in as i tend ... read more

thinking through how i want to approach this cleanse, my goals and vision
alright...its good to be back here...and fun to read about my experiences with this cleanse over the years. its getting into deep winter time and this means its time for my now, annual winter cleanse..ive been aiming to do two cleanses a year, a spring cleanse and a winter cleanse...its amazing how when i first started, i was so afraid of this cleanse, but its become so easy any more, since my body knows what to expect, and i know that the hunger pangs do pass. and the clarity, the lightness are all so worth it.
i find it helpful to set some goals before each cleanse, as to what i am ho ... read more
