Rebuilding Phase - Month 2 10 y
This month, I want to focus on being physically active.
I made several mistakes during month 1. One thing I’m glad I focused on is taking probiotics. My digestion has never been this great. I will not be taking probiotics on a regular basis. However, I will take a few times a week.

Today was my first hike. Rock Creek Park kicked my @#$. Sierra Club rated it a B. It was a 7.2 mile hike. It was a different type of physical activity. It motivated me to design a routine and stick to it. I loved the hike. Cardiovascular, I was fine. But, it wore my muscles down. Every muscle between my neck and toes is sore.

Its been awhile since I’ve posted. A lot has been going on.

Physically, I feel okay. I haven’t been staying on top of my yolk drink and it shows. I miss the energy boost. I didn’t do my menstrual fast. I’m still amazed with how much my digestion has improved. It has never been this good. Movements everyday. Everything I ate is gone within 24 hours. I’m going on a hike this weekend. My dog gets at least 90 minutes of walking a day, which means I walk at least 90 minutes a day. I don’t have a desire to train as hard as I used to. The Ode to Goat Cheese was the beginning of my exploration of new and natural foods. I promise none of the foods will come out of a box. You will be able to find everything I taste at your local farmer’s market or along the outer rims of the supermarket. I didn’t make it to the Farmer’s Market yesterday. After a trip to Whole Foods, I realized I have to make going to the Farmer’s Market a habit. The only ”local” fruit they had were Peaches. I bought some because I added fruit to my morning routine. But, I’m not a fan of peaches. I know apples are growing in West VA. I bought some last week. All of their apples were from South of the Equator. While I do love Gala apples, I’m trying to stick with fruits and veggies grown North of the Equator in August and preferably from the Mid-Atlantic States (and North Carolina). I noticed that my BM's look a bit pale or light brown on Friday and this morning. That indicates an issue with the liver.
I noticed that my BM’s look a bit pale or light brown on Friday and this morning. That indicates an issue with the liver. I had a spinach salad most of the week except Thursday and Friday, so I didn’t notice this before (they were very dark). They were a nice brown color last week. My two meals on Thursday and Friday afternoons were heavy with protein. More so on Thursday then Friday. Maybe that’s why Friday’s movements were a bit darker. I have my yolk drink on a regular basis, but I’m wondering if I should do a HC Liver Flush.

Brief Update 10 y
Things are going well.
My body is holding at a steady healthy. I could lose 5-7 lbs but that’s nothing exercise won’t cure. I signed up for hiking groups and will be doing a few 5ks this fall. I have to admit that I am very happy with how I look and feel.
My BMs have been the best they have ever been. My body is digesting the food I eat very well. I seem to have one big movement first thing in the morning (sometimes 1 small followed by one big). The big one is at least 12in long and very smooth. I think the amount of veggies and fruits has played a huge part in that. I have a movement in the afternoon, but no ... read more

Upon Rising: lemon water w/ baking soda (need to get the Ph back up; don’t know what it is but I can sense its low based on a few things)
Breakfast: .5 cup of nut milk (brazil or walnut) with 1 yolk, blended w/1 piece of fruit, 1T Sun. Oil, 1T flax meal, 1T of brewer’s yeast and 1t of wheat germ. Pre-workout (3-4 days a week - 1T of BSM taken separately)
Main Meal: Salad: 2 cups of raw spinach, 1 slice of goat cheese, 1 salmon cake, 2T of sliced natural almonds, 2T of diced dates, 2T of dressing, 4 yellow cherry tomatoes.

Overall, while this past week was somewhat of a disappointment, I am happy with what I learned about myself.
This week I realized I need to deal with my emotional eating issues. I thought they were gone. But, I realized that I have been on a ”scheduled” diet or ”routine” for 2 1/2 years. This is the first time in awhile where I’ve been sort of free. My colleague went on vacation for 3 weeks. He has more technical experience than I do and is at the ”senior level”. While my technical experience is better than it was 14 months ago, I have a long way to go. I’m pretty much managing everything. My company is currently going through a ”transition phase”. Per my horoscope, the new moon is in my sign this weekend. I feel it. I feel new. Its been a month since my break up. I’m fine. I feel like me again. I woke up at 5:30 am ready to start the day. I took my dog out for a long walk and some play time. Its been awhile since I took him to the tennis court for a run and it shows. I will make it a habit (again) to take him there every morning. The squirrels and brids came by looking for breakfast. I’m out of feed (note to self: go to Home Depot tomorrow and get two big bags). I meditated for twenty minutes.

He followed me to my favorite chair and begged while I was drinking it. He goes crazy over kefir.
My dog LOVES Kefir. When I started drinking it, after I was done I would scrape out what was hanging on the side of the glass or bottom for him. Of course, I did this everytime. Its been at least two months since I bought kefir.
Yesterday, was my cheat day. I started the morning with my hormonal balance drink. I find kefir gets things moving after an evening of forbidden foods (I’m not going to fast today. As with seeking the right job, if I don't put myself out there and take chances I will not meet people that will make awesome friends or a special partner.
On Monday the ”new friend” I meant to call, sent me an e-mail. I was going to call him because I inadvertently deleted his e-mail address. Well, I asked him if he wanted to hang out this weekend. We are going to meet up at the mall. Usually, I would find a group that’s having an event. I never really put myself out there re: trying to build a foundation for a solid friendship. Maybe it was due to fear of rejection or anxiety. I don’t know. But, me asking him is a big step for me.

My body doesn't want to stay up later than 10pm and won't get up until 6 am.
I got a full 8 hours of sleep. My body doesn’t want to stay up later than 10pm. I sleep a full 8 hours. This may be related to fall equinox that will be arriving 5-6 weeks from now. I noticed that my sleep habits change when Fall and Spring Equinoxes arrive. I also used to get sick really bad around that time. Getting sick hasn’t happened in 2-3 years. But my sleep habits still change. My dog’s sleep habits change as well. Or this could be related to my body rebuilding. I will keep track of everything that occurs.

Before I get a message stating that my body ”doesn’t want the soup”, it had NO problems with the Nathan’s foot long hot dog I ate on Saturday. The one day fast didn’t even flush me out like this. And I was perfectly fine last week probiotics (though I took too much in the beginning and that produced some interesting movements) and all, so its the soup. I didn’t think I would be posting about my rebuilding phase during the week so soon.
Yesterday, I had my ”hormonal balance drink” (1 cup of cow’s milk kefir, 1t of cod liver oil, 1T of flax meal, 1T of VCO and 1 egg yolk). Then 2 hours later, I had the acv (2t) and honey (1t) drink. I went to bed around 11pm. I started feeling warm prior to going to bed. When I got underneath my down alternative heat trapping sauna of a comfortable, I felt warmer.
