Day 2 - Early Afternoon 10 y
It is 2pm.
It is 2pm. I did not get to go to gym as I was asked to do something urgent at work. I have a slight headache.
Someone just asked me if I was going to get lunch. Made the mistake of telling her I was fasting today. She told me she was speechless and basically did not want to have anything to do with me whilst I was doing this.
I don’t want food at the moment, though would like to just lie down for a nap!

It is 11am on day 2 and I have a slight headache
It is 11am on day 2 and I have a slight headache and am getting hungry. Am pretty sure I am slipping into ketosis, because of the slightly unpleasant taste in my mouth.
Was not going to go to the gym at lunch, but think I will to clear my head.
Noticed that every one is drinking coffee around me. Normally would not bother me, as I don’t drink it anyway. Secretary told me she just ate the loveliest apple. She is aware that I am doing this water fast. Not for 21 days though.

So it is day 2.
So it is day 2.
Last night managed to go to the gym and do a spin class (was hard work) and then did an hour of weights. Was kind of light headed. After spent 20 minutes in the steam room. Thought this may aid the detox process. Missed my bus by 1 minute. Did not want to wait the 30 minutes till the next one and caught a cab home. The whole time the driver was talking about food and how he loses weight every time he visits family in Syria. Then told me he was a vegetarian except for the fact he likes barbequed meat. I would normally argue with this, but really too tired.

Well it is 4.45pm and I am a little hungry,
Well it is 4.45pm and I am a little hungry, but it is bearable. Am meant to be moving overseas in July and just found out I did not get the position I wanted. Told one of my colleagues who offered me chocolate. Told her I was fasting (got a disapproving look).
Finished my paper for uni.
When I leave work, going to go hand it in and then head to the gym again. Plan on doing another aerobics class (1 hour) and then a weights class (1 hour). I am sure I can do the aerobics class, but not sure about the weights. Am surprised I am not really hungry and it kind of confirms that often ... read more

Well did my 45 minute aerobics class.
Well did my 45 minute aerobics class. At the end, the instructor said you will all be ready for lunch now. Thought to myself, not me. Then stayed and did 45 minute pump class. While I was bench pressing, thought how great it would be to have a salad at the end of all this. Walked passed the cafe at the gym where I normally buy lunch. Actually did not even look at it. Walk outside, girl eating a mandarin. Don’t want it. Then see other girl eating an apple. Don’t want it. Wonder whether I am now going to notice what everyone is constantly eating around me.

It is 11.25am. I have a headache.
It is 11.25am. I have a headache. I work in an office and people always seem to be eating. People here actually think that I don’t eat very much. I don’t drink coffee and sometimes drink herbal tea, so I am definitely not having caffeine withdrawal. Person in office next to me just walked past with something in a bowl. Not sure what it was, but want it anyway.
Am not looking forward to the gym.

Day 1 - beginning water fast - background about who I am
Today is day 1 of my water fast. I have been preparing to do this for some time and have thought about it for about 2 months and have read well into the area. I have usually been dissuaded as I am a fitness freak and I worry that if I do not eat, I will not have the energy to do my gym sessions and running.
