Hi, Ren, I found this info online. Maybe you could approach management or whoever does purchasing and ask that they consider more environmentally friendly cups. even plastic cups are better than styrofoam.

better yet are REUSABLE cups--I'd assume that the nursing home has a dishwasher--why are they using throw-away cups in the first place? what about regular ceramic coffee cups that can be washed and reused? Everyone can have their own special "cup" and just rinse and reuse! have environmentally friendly dishwashing soap/detergent available and make the place more eco-friendly!
