in the history of peace on earth

    Here is another story that
I know I will never write
unless I take time now to record.

    ___

On site at the Hilton Anaheim, one of my first stops
Wed eve is the Hilton. I am carrying The Seven Love Cures
with me, these laminated poetry plaques that I know
are intended to increase understanding between men and women.

One of my first stops is the HIlton gift shop.
    I make some inquiries.

I have already shared energies with the HIlton.
Take a look at last summer's blogs where
we brought locally grown organic foods into the HIlton
San Diego Resort kitchen as part of "Organic Celebration at the HIlton!"

I have my very own Hilton name badge, personally
made up for me. IT says "Leslie, Your Enchanted Gardener."
I wore that at the International Feng Shui Conference
at the Hilton last summer. I am sentimental about that badge.

So here I am cooking up some other alliance with this Anaheim
Hilton. I can see a continuation of Organic Celebration
rooting here. I am seeding that.

I am also seeding that the Love Cures will have a place
    on site here.

I am also seeding that as soon as next year, the president
of the HIlton will be given an award for adding organic foods
to their menu. Maybe "Organic Celebration at the HIlton!"
will be a national Hilton program.

I will travel from time to time to various Hiltons and do
a Seven Love Cures reading as a special program.

Maybe I will do a program at various conferences in Hilton's.
I can see being one of the entertainers recommended
by the HIlton to do gigs at their hotels.

People come here and want to be romantic.
it makes sense to have The Seven Love Cures sold
    in Hilton Gift shops.

    Can you see that too?

So here I am getting the name of the company that
does purchasing for the national chain.

By Tuesday eve, the Natural Product Expo West is history.
My spirit is saying, go back to the HIlton Anaheim.

I am thinking I want to gear some business here--
perhaps guide the Organic Center to have their fund raising
event here next year. I know that the HIlton is now
in the Green Lodging Program. That happened the morning
I was doing the opening ceremony at last summer's Feng Shui
Conference at the Hilton San Diego Resort.. That was
    when they joined.

    See many blogs on that.

So it is Tuesday eve. It is raining outside.
I have had an very magical day. I am still in
    Enchanted Gardener mode.

I am also in fun mode and light hearted.
I have had the most amaZing healing afternoon
in the Corporate world. I have just come
from Help U Finace, the company that will aid
and assist me in doing a deal on my home purchase,
    but that is another story.

    So here I am.
I look over and see an old fashioned shoe shine wooden
furniture stall. You know, the kind they have in exclusive hotels.
You sit up high. They work over your shoes.

I am feeling embarrassed. My only sandals are delapidated.
The buckles in the back are broken. The leather is scuffed.

I had wanted to improve their appearance.
I was at a $1000.00 a plate VIP dinner the other
night in these sandals, the only shoes I have.

I walk over. There is a man standing there.

"Say, how much would it cost to shine these up a bit.?"

I see he has some shiny loafers.

    "Can you do that?"

    He says, "Yes!"
    How much will it cost?
    He says, "$3.00."

    That sounds resonable.

    Off go my shoes.
Here I am barefoot in socks in the Hilton.
He starts to work on them, applying Kiwi.
We start to talk. The price of Kiwi
is up from $2.00 to $5.00.

    He has five kids.
    He is an independent contractor.
he has been here for 20 years at this spot.
    Wow, that is history.

His name is John. He is from the Philipines.
He wants to know if I have ever been there.
"No," by this time we are cordial.
"Well," maybe we can take a trip there together.

He is open to the idea.

Around that point I have my camera out.
I am recording the history of peace on earth.
    The Enchanted Gardener's only sandals
    are being spruced up.

    I am feeling spruced up.
I tell John I am going to make this a yearly ritual.
He can expect to see me every year when I come
for the Natural Product Expo West. This is at least
my 10th pilgrimage to this show.

I have a big vision for NPEW '09.
    See that blog here.

    http://curezone.com/blogs/m.asp?f=92&i=1384

So here I am, taking various shots.
John gives me his name and address.
    We are speaking about friendship
and how easy it would be to live in a more
'beautiful world if each got along.

John and I are getting along.

Then I bring out "Because He is a Man,"
#3 of The Seven Love Cures.

    hmm...
Can you see my mind working????

    I read the poem.
    John...hmm...an independent contractor???
Here in the HIlton for 20 years???
I'll bet the top exec has not been here than long.
    John is an icon.

How do you like the words to the poem, I ask.

    John likes them.

    Then I pop the question.

So John, what do people read when they sit
    up there while getting polished?

By this point, I let him know that my very first
job was shinning shoes as a kid.
We are in the same fraternity.
    we are shoe shine brothers,
    practially international family.

John, I ask, could I give you one of these
Seven Love Cures to keep here and show
the appropriate clients as an alternative
    to reading the news?

    He says, of course, "yes!"

By this time, I have put my $3.00 out
and written him a note with my purple Sharpie
on the back side of the this very lovely love cure
that sells for $9.00 but costs about $3.00 to produce.

    "To my friend John..."
etc I write on the back of #3 of The Seven Love Cures.

He asks me to take back my $3.00 for the
    sandal shine.
Then he puts the poetry plaque in a very special place
where he can pull it out for customers when
    appropriate.

And that is the story of how
the first of The Seven Love Cures
got a home in the Hilton Anaheim.
