------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aquarian New Moons are appropriate times for exploration and experimentation. Our unique genius and originality are more accessible. We can brainstorm and see fresh alternatives. We are more open to future possibilities. These times are auspicious for ventures involving new technology, groups, the cutting edge of change, humanitarian causes, or anything quirky or unusual.
New Moon, 9 Aquarius 32, January 29, 2006 at 6:16 AM PST.
This New Moon is conjunct Mercury, heightening the mental possibilities. A strong emphasis on logic, rationality-and sudden flashes of insight-is present. This is an auspicious time to use our thinking caps-particularly in regard to any matters that are a bit unconventional or involve radical change, new technology, or humanitarian perspectives. Saturn is opposite this New Moon, reminding us to keep one foot on the ground. Although our originality and experimental attitudes are highlighted, the Cosmos is suggesting that we test our revolutionary urges against the crucible of everyday, material reality. We cannot go too far with breaking the rules or being a far-out genius, because we are being asked to stay in balance with the Establishment and basic rules of getting along in the physical world. This New Moon could be particularly significant for people born around Jan 28-Feb 2, July 31-Aug 4, April 28-May 2, or October 31-November 4.
Venus turns Direct, February 3, 2006 at 1:20 AM PST.
Many people avoid large purchases or major romantic moves during periods when Venus is retrograde. This retrograde cycle began December 24, 2005 and is ending now. So, people are apt to be more eager to reach out and share some affectionate exchanges with others. Spending could increase as well. All the Venusian pleasures will have strong appeal. This could be the beginning of a new cycle in regard to love, money, or indulgence-or the areas in your life concerned with the houses where Taurus and Libra are on the cusps.
Mercury enters Pisces, February 8, 2006 at 5:23 PM PST.
When the planet of thinking, communication, and commerce enters of the sign of dreamland, information may be less clear than usual. People are more prone to fantasy and wishful thinking. Rose-colored glasses can take over. Evasive language (polite lies and lies of omission) is quite possible. Poetic language is one up-side-as is imaginative thinking, using visualizing skills in the business world, or thinking clearly about one's dreams and visions and taking steps to make them real.
Full Moon 24 Leo 20, February 12, 2006 at 8:45 PM PST
There is a lot of "oomph" to this combination with Pluto trining the Full Moon and Mars squaring it. Issues of freedom versus closeness, friends versus children and loved ones, or the head versus the heart will be central. We are seeking a balance between the intellectual, detached side of life and the passionate, emotional, committed side of life. We are apt to feel very deeply about those closest to us, and may feel extra tension between what we want (Mars) and their desires and needs. Sharing power, possessions, and pleasures for mutual gratification is the challenge. If we are tempted to play dictator, finding a competitive outlet or getting involved with political action offers healthy alternatives. This Full Moon could be significant for people born around August 16-20, February 12-16, May 13-18, or Nov 15-19.
Mars enters Gemini, February 17, 2006 at 2:45 PM PST.
With the planet of speed and assertion entering the sign of communication, people may speak more rapidly or gesture more. Humor is on the rise-particularly the quick quip or rapid repartee. Dexterity and eye-mind-hand coordination tend to be better. People are more flexible and versatile in their thinking and with their hands and bodies. Information can be processed more speedily. The mind and tongue can also be used as weapons-biting, sarcastic speech is an option.
Sun enters Pisces, February 18 at 11:27 AM PST.
Compassion becomes a central theme. Our egos and self-esteem are tied to making the world better or more beautiful. We want to be proud of our visions, to be recognized for our sensitivity or ability to imagine the best of all possibilities. We may be more creative artistically, or use our intuition in promotional or teaching endeavors. We may shine through our willingness to assist others, to aid them in improving their lives or in reaching their highest potential.

hi,
first thank you eg for the astrology update, i like the short and to the point ones like this.
my birthday is directly on the cusp of Aries and Taurus, i mean directly! so that is earth and fire - a volcano! very intense. this cusp is called the cusp of power, lots of dictators are born on this cusp, really!
fire and water for you huh, dazzle? sounds like you might like Hawaai, with all that firey laval hitting the ocean. have you heard about this supplement called "zeolite"? it is supposed to be a mineral that is formed when the lava hits the ocean. gabriel cousens, the raw food guru, sells it at http://www.treeoflife.nu you might want to check it out, sounds like its made just for you.

Now this is fascinating, FF, how you managed to put that altogether. I've never been to Hawaii, and had not really thought about it as a place to live, but when you describe the way you did, the meeting of lava and water, it just seemed... right. It fit.
I've never heard of Zeolite, but of course, you have intrigued me, so off I go to explore the merging of lava and water.
So, tell me about my cusp... and I'll tell you if it fits.
If you're a volcano, what mineral/supplement fits you?
Thank you very much for sharing this... I find it very interesting.

P.S. You don't seem to have the dictator vibes...

Very enlightening reading these. Thanks, Leslie! ;)
Interesting that Bill and I had our big split Dec. 26, 2 days after Venus went retro, and we've reunited this past weekend, right after it went straight again...!
