Today is Tuesday, February 17, 2015. I finally found PH-Strips at Whole Foods Market Hillcrest, San Diego. I have been really surprised how difficult it was to find urine testing paper.
Today is the fourth day after my (SWL) Shockwave Lithrotripsy for blasted kidney stones. I got out the PH Meter I bought at the Fermentation Festival February 1. I want to upload the instructions the KombuchaKamp sent me.
I will ask a housemate to help me understand out to do this.
I also asked Bill at the Alvarado Plaze Pharmacy to order me some simple Litmus Paper. I do not understand how to read the PH from the few sample strips he gave me.
Dr. Ellen Jensen wants me to start testing my PH. This is a key to maintaining the PH so I do not create further Kidney stones.

Checking Your Saliva pH
Now let’s find out how we can check the pH of your saliva and urine to see what your acid/alkaline levels are. This is quite easy to do. We are trying to keep a careful eye on these levels to make certain that your body fluids aren’t too acidic giving a boost to harmful dental bacteria.
The pH is a scale from 1 to 14, and provides a convenient measurement of acidity/alkalinity levels. Neutral pH (neither too acidic nor too alkaline) is 7, which is the level we should be striving for.

To check your saliva pH, you must purchase litmus paper test strips, which are available at most drugstores. These tests strips often come with a color-coded pH chart, and by matching the colors, you’ll discover your saliva’s level of acidity. Your saliva should be neutral or very slightly acidic. If you test below 6.9, you probably have too much acidity in your saliva.
Acidity can also be tested with urine samples, but saliva is a better indicator of your acidity level. If your saliva is acidic but your urine is not, you still should consider yourself acidic.
Also test yourself after eating, when your saliva pH rise, it’s clear signal that you need to abstain from eating acidifying foods.
Always remember, your saliva or urine pH is a reflection of the foods you are putting in your body. In the absence of a medical problem, changing your diet will change your saliva or urine pH.
If you have been following this diet for a while and keep on having an acid pH (the paper is too yellow), try using cell salts. The homeopathic remedy Natrum Phosphoricum is excellent for producing alkaline shifts. Natrum Phosphoricum helps change lactic acid to carbonic acid and water, and is also necessary for dissolving uric acid in the blood.
If, on the other hand, you become too alkaline while on the Fast-Alkalizing Diet (the paper is too green), try eating some more acidifying foods.
Order an electronic ph-meter from ebay. They cost only around 10 dollars delivered to your mail box. They are precise, and a lot cheaper that papers. I use them in my work as a nutritional adviser with ph and gout as my special field of expertise.
The first thing to do, is to check urine ph and at the same time blood Uric Acid concentration with a cheap field meter that is precise and used in health-care around the world. They cost about 30-100 bucks.
If your blood UA reading is greater than 3,4 for men or 3,2 for women, it is too high. At 4,65 uric acids will start forming crystals.
If you have elevated blood UA concentration and your urine ph is above 7, you are suffering from chronic uremia. Your kidneys are unable to secrete uric acids from blood to urine.
Diazepam dilates kidneys' vascular system, and starts the UA secretion. This can be measured from blood and urine samples taken during first and second urination after the medication.
