Finally none of these songs would ever have crept out of my desk drawer if not for the singable poem "Beauty Grows." This lyric stood alone and convinced me to share my collection. Darcy and Dave worked it into something special for me and this lyric along with "Momma's Wisdom," I respectfully dedicate to the memory of my Mom who passed away in 2010. Thanks to my cousin Lyn for performing "Beauty Grows" for me at Mom's funeral ... I am still scarcely able to speak the words without choking back a few tears.
In summary the laughable title "Trust The Devil," the reggae blast of "Bitch A Lot," rebirth of my old hoedown lyric, and the two songs dedicated to my Mom, the creeper "Dying Young Blues," comic relief in"Worried Fan Blues, and my closest thing to a spiritual in "Son of Another Day," all of this album's lyrics will be included in a soon to be released eBook called, "The Challenge of Harmony." Thank you Enchanted Gardener for sharing the San Diego world when I visited there, I get energy just thinking about Dog Beach.
Thanks for sharing my excitement at having my album up on Amazon.
By your choice of the album song titles I commend your resonance with "Beauty Grows." In the song the verse goes:
"Lovely lady like a flower from a bud upon a stem, woman in her beauty grows time and time again." I now have two grand daughters, one grandson and we are guessing at the one in the oven due in June.
