|What is Yoga?|
Most people know 'yoga' as performing certain asanas(postures) as a form of exercise, but it is so much more than that.
‘Yoga’ is that state of consciousness in which a person realizes ultimate reality that there exists only ONE Consciousness, which is called Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient and Immortal. Nothing exists other than this. You, me, and everything we perceive is manifestation of the Immortal Consciousness.
So, ‘yoga‘ represents the state of realization of existence of only ONE Consciousness which is undivided, complete and without beginning or end.
This state of realization of yoga can be achieved by the practice of certain meditation techniques.
There are many benefits of 'yoga', some are:
-overall well being
-Healing of Illnesses or diseases
-Calmness and peace
Now one would have to find a meditation technique that works for them. I have found one that works for me. I'm learning how to incorporate it into my daily life. I will post my experiences etc..
