Blog: Life on Liquids: the Journey of a First Time Juice Faster
Ughh so I ate again today! What?!?!?! not the plan! I'm feeling HUGE and worse than ever. I'm going to start with a 5-day water fast to quickly make up for the past few days which have me feeling awful. Hopefully this will get me back into a state of feeling okay about myself and then I can switch back to juice...
I'll keep you posted!

Oh I have gone through this too, many a time.
Check out the forums on http://www.fitnessthroughfasting.com
in particular look for comments from tinajfreeman and Chimp, they are so encouraging. They explain why we want to eat. I find their thoughts on what makes a successful fast particularly helpful and insightful. They practice intermittent fasting instead of straight fasting for a set period. They also make it acceptable to break a fast and explain its all part of the big picture when your aim is a change for life.
Feel good about yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(aha that's what ausijuisfast commented to me when I was beating myself up... I am passing the good word around....)

Be careful of what your head is telling you. It can play tricks on you! You should live your life from inside your body with the help of your head, not the other way around. So start with descending in your body and feeling what your body feels. This works for any feeling: ILL (wait till it passes/ do the right thing to cure this)+(ill can be stress, pain, resentment, tired, flu, angry, etc.), HUNGRY (eat), FULL (stop eating), HAPPY (just feel it, don't add anything don't take away anything, you are at the right place just stay in the moment).
Your head is just a help to chose healthy foods over unhealthy ones.
I am understanding these things for myself. I did not complete a full water fast but I am moving in that direction step by step. I am retraining myself to do what feels right in the here and the now. This can never let me down. Forcing things can bring injury.
I'll eventually get to a perfect state(lol)
