wow..15 minutes is long for me!
I have finaly discovered how to cook the PERFECT steak (for me at least)
I will leave the stovetop on 8-HI and let it sit there until it begins to steam,no oil no butter just yet.Then I'll marinate the steak ,chop up the onions/garlic etc,butter.I'll add some olive oil to let it bubble up some then I'll add the steak,oh yes- I add a little bit of salt,pepper,soy sauce and I'll molest and massage the meat lol to really tenderize it and get all the flavor in it..sometimes I'll sing the blues to really make it tender!
I slap it in the pan and let it sizzle,cover it and let it sear each side for about a mintute each,then turn off the stovetop but leave the pan in place.I toss in the garnish (onions,garlic etc) and let it sit for about 5 minutes on each side,flipping once to make sure not to burn,for the last two minutes I'll add the butter (tbsp) and let it melt into the meat and garnish.
Afterwards,I'll fry up some onion rings or veggies!
nice and seared on the outside,while still a blush of red inside- not too raw or over cooked but nice and warm!
