Okay, folks, here's the thing!
One of my upper teeth is losing the dentin within it. When I talked with my dentist a couple of months ago, he told me about this.
Dentin, if I'm not screwing this up, is the somewhat soft part of the front tooth covered by the dental enamel. When the bottom of the tooth wears away, the dentin starts reducing inside the tooth. If it isn't covered by a cap, the dentin will wear away to nothing. This means increased risk of losing a tooth.
Thing is, covering the tooth with a cap to stop the wearing away - as well as manipulation of the upper teeth to make a secure fit - would cost me $3000. My dental insurance doesn't cover such a procedure, and I don't have the money available to have it covered.
So, are there any natural or alternative health methods to replace or restore the dentin within a tooth?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks.
