I've read that acerola cherries contain
very high levels of natural vitamin C.
So if you access to them, I think acerola
cherries would enhance your eating-regimen.
However, I wouldn't use cherries, goji berries, or any food as my single source of
vitamin C. You'd have to eat huge amounts
of either fruit to equal the amount of vitamin
C I take in the course of a normal day.
I've been mega-dosing on vitamin C much
longer than anyone I know, or have read about
in books. It works for me. My body loves
the 14 grams of vitamin C crystals I give it each day, as well as all the natural vitamin
C I get from fresh fruits and veggies.
If large doses of vitamin C crystals were
dangerous, than I should be either dead or
terribly ill. I'm not. Indeed, the last
12 months (age 65) have been the healthiest
of my long life. There is nothing wrong with
my body; not even minor aches. God has
blessed me abundantly. When I decided to
experiment with mega-doses of vitamin C in
1977, I had no idea it would turn into such
a great blessing.
You, Dodge, must make your own decision about
whether to use supplemental vitamin C or not.
Who knows? Cherries and fruits may provide
your immune system with enough vitamin C to
keep your body healthy. As always, listen to
your deep intuition.
