The Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs is available online, and downloadable as a PDF... Read it and then just do what he says to do - no more, no less.. find your balance within his instructions and cleanse away. And while you cleanse - read the archives - it is a mountain of valuable experience and information and support.
I find that the BIGGEST ingredient is mental clarity/resolve. Without it I cannot get past day one or two - with it I can go easily and happily to day 28 - so far this cleanse.
I find that people who eat ANY kind of food, gum or mints makes for them having a rougher time and more cravings for food.
I find that adding ANYTHING other than lemonade, water, mint tea, laxative tea and the Salt-Water-Flush makes for a TOTALLY different effect and result.
I find that a matching plain water chaser after the Salt-Water-Flush enables it to always work for me.
I find that I can only start with the barest sprinkle of cayenne - but by the last days I use a lot more and I am loving the flavor and heat of it.
I find that each and every cleanse has it's own little quirks and is a separate experience for me.. in other words.. Each cleanse may be different for you.
I find that I sleep better without the lax tea at night, so I sometimes skip it. But I have fewer cravings the next day if I have it the night before.
The simple fact is this is The Master Cleanse.. if you add something to it, or take something away then you are doing a different protocal. Let yourself experience the simplicity and benefits of this cleanse as written. It has been successfully tried and used for decades and is so simple and wholesome.. It might be best to NOT try and improve on something you have not faithfully tried.
And just because you know of someone that has continued to drink coffee during a MC, or taken tinctures, or done P&Bs, or run a 10K while cleansing with 'no repercussions' does not guarantee you the same result. Walk in other people's footsteps with true care for your self. Your health is in your hands.
