..these bacteria are not "diploid"..they are
if centered ..[more or less] can give create the
illusion of "two bacilli joined".
...betcha' these are Bacillus subtilis...
1. right size
2. utterly common dwellers of the human gut.
3. create urease..[some type of bacteria is converting
the urea of my urine to ammonia at amazing speed.
..just this morning..an overnight collection of urine
jumped from "7.something" to 10.2..in a few hours..
and had about an inch
deep pile of triphosphate crystals
in the bottom of the jar. This sort of thing has been
going on for ..two years at least...on and off.
4. are motile [flagellum]
5. create biofilms to live in..when it suits them
6. and of course..the endospores.
*I have video of motile bacteria dancing around inside
of biofilm bubbles..from a tongue swab.
